Is CrowdRoom really 16+ only?
Yes. All users must verify their phone and email, and we use age verification to keep the platform safe. Accounts for users under 16 are not allowed.
How does phone and email verification work?
During sign-up, you’ll enter your mobile number and email address. We’ll send a code to your phone and a verification link to your email. Both must be verified before you can use CrowdRoom.
How is my privacy protected?
Your phone and email are always private—never visible to other users. Only our moderation team can access your contact information, if necessary for safety reasons. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
How does AI moderation work?
AI reviews all chats in real time to help keep things friendly and safe. Messages that may violate our guidelines are automatically flagged or hidden. Human reporting and review are also available.
Can I install CrowdRoom as an app?
Yes! After you sign up and log in, you’ll see a prompt to install CrowdRoom on your phone or desktop. Just follow your browser’s instructions for one-tap access.
Are video and audio calls recorded?
No, CrowdRoom does not record or store any video or audio from your calls. Only moderation events and chat logs may be kept for safety and compliance.
What is Safe Mode?
Safe Mode applies stricter chat filtering and safety controls. It is enabled by default for younger users (16–17) and first-time accounts, and can be turned on in your settings.
How do I create or join a room?
You can join a trending or random room, or create your own public or private room. Rooms can be customized by topic and size. Invites let you bring your friends.
How can I report or block someone?
Every room and chat has a report button. You can also block users to prevent them from contacting you. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in warnings or bans.
How can I delete my account or download my data?
Go to your profile settings and look for 'Delete My Account' or 'Download My Data'. You can request your data or permanently remove your account at any time.
How does Premium work?
CrowdRoom Premium offers longer calls, higher video quality, and larger rooms for a small monthly fee. Everyone gets a free trial—no credit card required to start.
Can I use CrowdRoom outside the US, UK, Canada, and Australia?
CrowdRoom is initially focused on these countries. You may be able to join from other regions, but some features (like phone verification) may be limited.
Do you have parental controls?
Currently, CrowdRoom is for users 16 and older only. Parental controls and appeal processes are planned for the future.
What should I do if I see something unsafe or inappropriate?
Report it immediately using the in-app tools. Our moderation team reviews all reports promptly to help keep CrowdRoom safe for everyone.
